High-end gaming PC maker Digital Storm has introduced a new line of lower-cost gaming systems.
The new models are launching under the company's Special Ops line and will have a starting price of $987. As an extra incentive Digital Storm is offering free overclocking, boosting performance from 3.3GHz to 3.9GHz on these units.
The three-unit configure-to-order line consists of the Elite 310, Ironclad and the Haf X.
The Elite 310, base price $987, has a base configuration that features an AMD 2.8GHz Phenom X6 processor, 4GB of DDR3 1,600MHz memory, Nvidia GT 220 graphics with 1GB of video RAM and a 500-watt power supply.
The Ironclad, base price $1,537, steps up to an Intel 2.8GHz Core i7 processor, 6GB of DDR3 1,600MHz memory, Nvidia GTX 470 graphics with 1.2GB of video RAM and a 750-watt power supply.
The top-end Haf X adds Nvidia GTX 480 graphics with 1.5GB of video RAM. Its base price is $1,807.
