Electrolube has announced the addition of a new Aromatic Free Polyurethane conformal coating (PUCAF) to their product range. PUCAF has been specifically designed for the protection of electronic circuitry for optimum reliability and increased performance of devices. The coating utilizes a specialist blend of solvents ensuring the product is completely free from aromatic content, whilst offering ease of use via all types of application method, including manual and selective spray processes. The modified polyurethane conformal coating is tough, flexible and increases throughput due to a rapid touch dry time of less than 10 minutes. Certified and compliant with REACH, RoHS, UL94 V-0 and IPC-CC-830, PUCAF fluoresces under UV light to aid inspection and provides excellent mechanical and dielectric properties.

The aromatic free coating demonstrates excellent adhesion to many substrates, a wide operating temperature range and is highly resistant to mould growth and moisture. Once cured, the coating can also be removed with the highly effective Conformal Coating Remover Gel (CCRG), a thixotropic gel that excludes the use of dichloromethane.

PUCAF is one of several new coating products introduced recently to Electrolube’s range of conformal coatings, featuring established coatings HPA, APL, DCA and PUC, which are universally popular and very widely specified. These will continue to be available globally, of course, and form a very solid base to what is now a considerably expanded and strengthened range of conformal coating available from Electrolube.
