The newest member of Fujitsu's FCR4 family, the MB9DF125, or Atlas-L, is based on the ARM Cortex-R4 core. It has a SHE (secure hardware extension) module which is hardware-implemented to ensure the highest levels of security, says the company. The cryptographic module complies with the specification of the HIS (Hersteller (i.e. manufacturer) Initiative Software) consortium. The microcontroller supports AutoSar and is designed to operate as a single-chip solution for traditional instrument clusters without graphics or as a companion chip alongside the company's Emerald' SoCs for hybrid or freely-programmable (virtual) automotive instrument clusters. Operating at up to 128MHz, the core offers over 200DMIPS processing, 1Mbyte flash memory and 128kbyte of RAM in an LQFP-176 package.
